The renovations doubled the size of the bar area and added a custom guacamole bar. They kept the star lights and got rid of that weird step leading up to the bar area - yay!
I recently was invited to visit the new space and preview the Carnaval menu. You are definitely going to want to check out both!
Thursday, February 28 through Fat Tuesday, March 5 there will be quite the party at Paladar.
The special Carnaval menu is full of tasty bites:
- Peri Peri Chicken Skewers
- Charred Spanish Octopus
- Lamb & Rosemary Cheesebread Sliders
- Brazilian Beef Empanadas
- Duck Mole Masa Fries
- Crispy Masa Fries (Vegetarian)
- Feijoada Tasting
- Spicy Salt & Pepper Whole Shrimp

And these delicious specialty Caipirinhas:
- Coconut Pineapple Caipirinha
- Blood Orange Caipirinha
- Passion Fruit Caipirinha
- Caipirinha Flight Trio
Pro Tip: Get the flight so you don't have to choose. My personal favorite was the Passion Fruit but they were all delicious and refreshing.
We also did a rum tasting and I was blown away by the diversity of flavors that rum can have! Some tasted like a whiskey or scotch - not at all what I expected. They created a Rum Bible to help guests learn more about this under-appreciated spirit.
You can win a $100 gift card to celebrate Carnaval at Paladar! Use the Rafflecopter below to enter.
Contest ends Wednesday 2/27 just in time for you to experience Carnaval at Paladar.
*** Disclosure: I was invited to the event and was provided complimentary samples of the Carnaval menu and $100 gift card for this giveaway. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. ***
