Elvis Ice Cream for your Favorite Hound Dog

Now that summer has officially hit NE Ohio, we can enjoy the sunshine and hot weather....finally! It's really fun to bring our favorite four-legged friends along with us. Buffy loves to go for rides, especially when we go see friends and family or when we take her for ice cream. It's a tasty way to cool off for all of us. But remember, don't take your pet if you have to leave them in the car. Your best friend could be seriously injured or killed due to the soaring temperatures.

And because I know you love your pups as much as I love mine, here's a special recipe just for them.

Elvis Ice Cream 

for your special hound dog

1 1/2 c plain yogurt
2 bananas, chopped
6 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
1/2 c peanut butter
3 T honey
1 t cinnamon

Blend yogurt and banana. Stir in bacon, peanut butter, honey and cinnamon. Scoop into ice cube tray and freeze. You can also make it in an ice cream maker if you want. Just follow the manufacturer's instructions.
