Dazzle the District Giveaway

If you've been to Playhouse Square recently, you may have noticed some changes. LCD kiosks, vertical blade signs on the buildings, large signs suspended over the gateways to the district and a giant retro "Playhouse" sign are just some of the new additions. In exactly one week, Playhouse Square is going to be glowing as their Dazzle the District party kicks off with the lighting of the world's largest outdoor chandelier.

In honor of this special occasion they're hosting quite the bash. And the best part, it's free! Be sure to head to Dazzle the District on Friday May 2nd to witness this historic event and be part of the party. #DazzletheDistrict is going to be quite the party. Be there or be (Playhouse) Square.
  • 5pm – 8:30pm  – Taste of Playhouse Square Happy Hour
  • 8:30 – 9:30 – Hot Chelle Rae performance
  • 9:30  – Spectacle! Dazzle! Surprises? Lighting Ceremony
Starting at 5pm, the entire district will be in full party mode with Happy Hours at all the local Playhouse Square restaurants. Be sure to get "The Dazzler" cocktail served in a special light up commemorative cup. At 8:30, head to the University Hospitals Main Stage on Euclid Avenue for the Hot Chelle Rae concert. Then at 9:30 the GE Chandelier will be lit. This huge light will be covered with crystals as it brings the beauty of the theaters to the streets.

More good news, I have Dazzle the District swag to giveaway! The actual prize is top secret at this point so it will be a surprise. For each entry completed, you must leave a separate blog comment to get credit. Make sure you include a way to reach you in case you are a winner. If you don't, I'll have to pick another winner.

  4. A Chorus Line has always been one of my favorite musicals and my parents got me tickets for Christmas when I was in high school. What ended up making it even more memorable was getting my scholarship notification in the mail just as we were pulling out the drive to head downtown to see it.

  6. Favorite show would definitely be Wicked but I have had a plethora of good experiences at Playhouse square. Probably my favorite memory is being able to show my out-of-town family the inside of the Palace theater and wow them!

  18. My favorite memory of playhouse square is anxiously awaiting Phantom of the Opera to come. I bought fabulous seats at the beginning of the run and then went back and saw it 3 more times with the cheaper seats!
